In 2009 FIRST presented to FRC teams a new game titles "Lunacy". The game was played on a polymer field and robots are constructed with special, low-friction wheels. The wheels and the terrain of the field together creates for a simulation of what it would be like driving on the surface of the moon. Circular trailers are attached to each robot and act as targets for the opposing team to shoot "moon rocks" and "cells" into throughout the match. Human players attempt to shoot moon rocks into trailers as the match continues.
As a team, this was our second year competing. After competing in 9 matches at the Arizona Regional - and claiming victory over 5 of them - we managed to end in 20th place.
